Creating Community During OUr Services
Greeters/Ushers Team
Our Greeters/Ushers Team is here to be helpful. They will generally be able to help you find a seat, hand you a copy of Mahzor Hadash turned to the correct page, or offer you an opportunity to participate in the services. Please contact me to be part of our Greeters-Ushers Team at [email protected].
Open Seating
All seating is open seating during services. During services, people needing a short break (See Family Friendly!) often mark their seats by leaving a tallit or suit jacket at their chairs; please respect those markers that the seats are occupied. There will be some seats reserved for those needing accessibility accommodations, and for the needs of the Greeters/Ushers Team.
B.Y.O. Tallit/Prayer Shawl & Kippot/head coverings
Please bring a kippah/head covering and tallit/prayer shawl for your own needs.
Being a Family Friendly Service
There is deep power when multiple generations of family come together during the High Holy Days. We invite families of all types to create these moments that will last a lifetime in your memories. There are occasions in the service designed to recognize the opportunity this New Year brings for creating even more sacred moments in every venue of our lives.
At the same time, we welcome those families with children who might need a break from their seats, but want to be in the service. There will be a wide, open area behind the final row of seats for families with our youngest worshipers to use together.
Please feel free to bring any non-electronic "quiet activities" (books, soft toys, and writing/drawing/coloring material) that help your young ones enjoy the services.
Make sure to check out all the updated information at Special for Kids!
