Are services being held in a church? Is this some sort of missionary bait-and-switch?
Our services at are being hosted by our friends at Trinity Lutheran Church. This is a separate building from the main sanctuary, with a beautiful "general purpose" room much like a synagogue social hall or auditorium. This space will be a clearly Jewish worship space when we go to use it. The church has hosted High Holy Days previously, and is excited to do so again. Don't worry; there is no missionary bait-and-switch tactic here. Rabbi Greenspoon is a member of the Rabbinical Assembly and the Baltimore Board of Rabbis with deep Baltimore connections.

What time is Yizkor on Yom Kippur?
Since the Yizkor service is a part of the larger Torah service, the exact time of Yizkor is hard to pinpoint. If you are comfortably in your seat by 11:00, you will not miss it.
What do I need to bring?
We ask that everyone bring a tallit (prayer shawl) and kippah (head-covering) according to their personal custom. Also, we encourage everyone who has a personal shofar to bring it to Neilah, the final service on Yom Kippur. We will have a community “final blast off” to mark the end of the Holy Day, and everyone with a shofar is invited to participate.
